With the support of the European Union and the organization of CENN, the first meeting of the Interregional Platform for Circular Economy Dialogue was held on July 4, which was attended by members of the Kakheti and Adjara regional platforms and organizations operating at the national level.

The platform is designed to share experiences between regions, encourage innovative solutions and facilitate the implementation of circular approaches.

The meeting discussed both local potential and international experience - including examples of multi-sectoral cooperation shared by ICLEI Europe representative Chiara Goluccia.

In the afternoon, participants visited:

Radisson Blu Iveria, where they were introduced to initiatives to reduce single-use plastic;

Fabrika, where attendees saw a deposit system for reusable cups, which was jointly implemented by businesses operating in the area.

It is noteworthy that the meeting was attended by the director of the Batumi Medical Academy, Shorena Uzunadze.

The event was held within the framework of the project “Circular Cities and Regions in Georgia”, which is implemented by CENN in cooperation with ICLEI Europe with the support of the European Union.
