Batumi Medical Academy is proud of another significant achievement of its students. Academy students – Liana Shotadze, Zeinab Mikeladze and Nana Saitadze – participated in the National Nursing Skills Competition “Professionalism and Patient Safety” organized by the Association of Private Colleges of Georgia.

The aim of the competition was to assess professional knowledge and practical skills in accordance with the principles of patient safety, hygiene standards and modern requirements of nursing practice. It is noteworthy that this competition was held for the first time at the national level and 36 students selected from various vocational educational institutions of Georgia participated in it. Representatives of Batumi Medical Academy demonstrated high professionalism, responsibility and practical competencies, as a result of which they earned special recognition from the Georgian Nursing Association and the American Hospital. Batumi Medical Academy would like to thank the professional teacher, Ms. Tamila Kartvelishvili, for the high-level preparation of the students for the competition; the head of the nursing education program, Ms. Manana Jashiashvili, and Ms. Nargiz Butskhrikidze for their support and professional involvement.
