Representatives of the Batumi Medical Academy attended the first meeting of the Circular Economy Dialogue Platform, along with other stakeholders - cooperation and exchange of information and knowledge among stakeholders are necessary for the implementation of circular economy approaches in the country. Circular economy dialogue platforms are one of the effective mechanisms for this.

With the support of the European Union, CENN established Circular Economy Dialogue Platforms (CEDP) in Kakheti and Adjara within the framework of the “Circular Cities and Regions in Georgia” project and hosted the first meetings.

CEDP brings together representatives of civil society, business and educational institutions in Kakheti and Adjara. The platforms create an inclusive space for dialogue and collaboration, which facilitates stakeholder engagement in policy-making, sharing best practices and implementing circular solutions. All of this will benefit both the environment and local businesses and economies.

At the end of the meeting, the mandate for cooperation and platform membership was approved, which includes active involvement in the platform's activities, promoting the spread of circular economy values, supporting pilot initiatives and establishing cross-sectoral collaborations to promote change in the region. With this development of events, the Batumi Medical Academy officially joined the Circular Economy Dialogue Platform and became its full member, which confirms the academy's readiness to actively engage in the environmental and structural transformations of the region.
