Seminar on HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis

A seminar was held at the Batumi Medical Academy, organized by the contractor of the L. Sakvarelidze National Center for Disease Control and Public Health - the Georgian Health Federation, within the framework of the communication/educational campaign on HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.

The seminar was led by Maia Tsintsadze, a doctor-epidemiologist of the T. Tsertsvadze Scientific Practical Center for Infectious Pathology, AIDS and Clinical Immunology, Doctor of Medicine, Professor, who provided students and teachers with detailed information on the spread, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.

Megi Sajaia, Director of the Georgian Health Federation, campaign communication expert, spoke to the audience about the goals and objectives of the educational campaign.

The campaign aims to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis, improve knowledge, change negative and misconceptions, increase motivation to seek testing, and positively change attitudes and stigma.
