Professional training sessions for medical staff and nurses were held in Batumi through a collaboration between the Batumi Medical Academy and the Health Federation of Georgia. In modern healthcare, effective communication serves as a crucial foundation for patient trust, safety, the protection of rights, and the delivery of high-quality medical services. Furthermore, managing stress and emotions is essential for maintaining both professional resilience and a healthy work environment.

• During the training sessions, participants explored the following topics:
• Effective communication with patients based on international standards;
• Trust-based relationships, informed consent, and patient rights;
• Managing difficult communication, conflicts, and emotionally charged situations;
• De-escalation techniques, professional boundaries, and team communication;
• Practical stress management methods and the prevention of professional burnout.

The training was led by:

• Megi Sajaia – Director of the Health Federation of Georgia, Master of Public Health, communication expert, mediator, and healthcare ombudsman.
• Tinatin Aitsuradze is a psychologist, holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Doctorate in Social Sciences, and serves as the Head of Psychosocial Support Programs at the Health Federation of Georgia.

The training sessions were based on real-life professional cases and practical exercises. Participants received certificates upon completion of the training. Effective communication, emotional management, and professional development are key prerequisites for patient-centered and safe healthcare. The Health Federation of Georgia and the Batumi Medical Academy continue their collaboration to enhance the professional skills of medical personnel and improve the quality of medical services.
